Step into a rewarding full-time contract role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist within school environments near Glendale, CA. This opportunity begins on August 12, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027. You’ll have the chance to help students from a range of age groups, working with caseloads of 50-60 across varying school assignments, including some itinerant placements. No SLPA roles are available, but both CFs and fully credentialed SLPs (CCC) are welcome—CFs can be placed if a supervisor is secured.
Your workday will be on-site only, Monday through Friday, averaging 40 hours per week with eight-hour days. The district supports ongoing learning through bi-weekly professional training cohorts, with all candidates starting either at the beginning or halfway through each month. Assessment materials are required and reimbursement for these costs will be provided.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid California SLP license and SLP teaching credential
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Willingness to work on-site (no teletherapy/VOCO options)
- Flexibility to cover different schools; some assignments may span multiple campuses
- Passion for working with diverse student populations across varied age groups
- Experience with school-based caseloads preferred, though recent graduates (CFs) will be considered if supervision is arranged
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering speech, language, and communication services to students in school settings
- Managing a caseload between 50-60 students, including intervention and progress monitoring
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other support staff
- Complying with all documentation and reporting requirements
- Participating in scheduled district training and professional development
