A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in the Los Angeles area for the 2026-2027 school year. This role supports students across various schools within a major urban school district, offering a dynamic and rewarding work environment focused on children’s communication development.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Los Angeles, CA (campuses vary; some positions are itinerant)
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week with 8-hour days
- Duration: August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027
- Caseload: Approximately 50-60 students spanning a range of ages
- Travel: Position requires traveling between assigned schools within the district
Qualifications:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and SLP teaching credential required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status accepted; no SLPA candidates
- Experience working in school settings preferred, ranging from new graduates to seasoned professionals
- Availability to participate in bi-weekly district training cohorts, with start dates aligned to cohort schedules
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring to students on caseload
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and state regulations
- Manage and utilize assessment materials effectively; reimbursement for materials up to approximately $2,500 will be provided
