School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Glendale, California
Make a meaningful impact supporting students in the LA area as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, itinerant position allows you to collaborate with fellow professionals while working across 1 to 4 schools (with an average assignment of 2), serving a diverse caseload of 55-60 students. The role is focused on direct therapy and assessment—case management responsibilities are handled by dedicated staff at each site, allowing you to focus on what you do best: helping students thrive in their speech and language development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active California SLP License and SLP Teaching Credential
- SLPs with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status encouraged to apply
- School-based SLP experience preferred, though CFs are welcome (supervision available)
- Ability to work onsite (this opportunity is not available for teletherapy)
- Experience assessing and treating a variety of age groups in school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in a supportive educational environment
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized plans addressing each student’s unique communication needs
- Collaborate with special education and classroom teams to promote student success
- Complete required documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings as an integral member of the school team
- Utilize district-funded assessment materials for evaluations (reimbursement of up to $2,500 provided)
