School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Niceville, Florida
Step into an engaging and rewarding environment as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year, supporting students’ communication and academic success in a vibrant educational community north of Destin, in the Florida Panhandle. This is a full-time, on-site contract opportunity starting August 11, 2026, through June 1, 2027, with placements in either a single school or across two campuses, depending on your preferred caseload. You’ll play a vital role with a supportive team, making a real difference for children and young adults ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to age 22.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Provisional SLP license from FL Department of Health (DOH) is required
- Familiarity with school-based settings and practices strongly preferred
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations, including special needs
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to timely completion of required fingerprinting and credentialing
- Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services
- Support students across different grade levels and abilities
- Consult with teachers and parents regarding student progress
- Maintain thorough, accurate records adhering to school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
- Organize schedules to serve either a single school or rotate between two, based on assignment
- Adapt therapeutic interventions to meet varied student needs
