Speech Language Pathologist in Locust Grove, VA
Make a direct impact in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting a K-12 caseload in a welcoming school environment near Locust Grove, VA. This contract opportunity is full time, offering 37.5 hours per week and the flexibility to accommodate candidate preferences regarding specific caseloads within K-12. Three SLP positions are available, and clinicians with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) as well as Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license for Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply
- Prior experience working in a K-12 school setting is a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, comfortable consulting with educators and families
- Passionate about helping students develop their communication and language abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct therapy for students with speech-language and communication needs in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain required documentation and progress reports for student services
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care for each student
- Participate in IEP meetings and support programming throughout the school community
- Tailor therapy plans based on student abilities and grade level
