Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the Denver area, working with students in a dynamic educational setting. This onsite-only position spans the academic year, beginning January 7th, 2026, and concluding May 28th, 2027, and offers the chance to connect with children across several school communities.
You will be assigned to one of two roles:
- Full-time at a child development center (five days a week), providing coverage during two staff leaves,
- Or a split assignment, with 2.5 days each at two vibrant K-8 campuses, also as leave coverage.
In this role, you’ll deliver speech and language services for young learners, collaborating with teachers, families, and other support staff to help students reach their full potential.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- An active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with Speech Pathologist Endorsement
- Previous experience in school-based speech therapy preferred
- A commitment to completing required background screening and fingerprinting
- Enthusiasm for collaborating across disciplines to create supportive learning environments
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation
- Adaptability to work at multiple sites and with varying age groups
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy to students, both individually and in groups
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
- Engage families in the therapeutic process and provide resources as needed
