Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Aurora, CO
Make a difference supporting students’ communication needs in an educational setting near Aurora, CO. Two unique contract opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), including one that welcomes Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) starting in January. Both roles are onsite, providing essential speech services across multiple school sites throughout the academic year.
The first opportunity is a part-time SLP position (2 1/2 days per week) that begins immediately and runs through the end of May. You’ll collaborate with school teams to provide speech and language services to a caseload of 20-25 students, moving between sites as coverage needs shift. This dynamic assignment is ideal for someone who thrives in varied settings and is passionate about meaningful student engagement.
The second opportunity is a full-time role, starting in January, open to either an SLP or an SLPA. From January through mid-March, you’ll serve approximately 40-45 K-8 students, then transition to support a similar caseload at a secondary campus through late May—perfect for professionals seeking consistency but also energized by new environments.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado DOE Special Service Provider License with Speech Pathologist Endorsement (or Speech Pathologist Assistant for the second role)
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong collaboration and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads across multiple locations
- Willingness to complete district-required background check and fingerprinting
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain timely, thorough documentation
- Support students’ progress through evidence-based interventions
