School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Denver, Colorado
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, making a meaningful impact in the Denver area from January 2026 through May 2027. In this rewarding position, you’ll provide essential support as you cover two maternity leave assignments in engaging, diverse learning environments over a 37.5-hour work week. Assignments include either serving one child development center five days a week, or splitting your week between two elementary campuses. Your work will directly support students with varying speech and language needs, helping each child reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider license with Speech Pathologist Endorsement
- Previous experience working with school-aged children strongly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of assessment, intervention strategies, and IEP development
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility in adapting to different sites as needed
- Ability to pass district background check and fingerprinting requirements
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school settings
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student success
- Document progress and maintain thorough, compliant records
- Participate in meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
