Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Littlerock, CA
Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a vibrant K-8 district near Littlerock, CA, as a contract professional supporting students and colleagues throughout the school year. This full-time role offers a dynamic schedule of 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to complete up to 5 hours remotely. You will play a key role in ensuring students continue to receive essential services by covering various FMLA leaves as they arise.
Ideal candidates have completed or are in the process of completing their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Due to the need to provide consistent support across multiple sites and cover for experienced therapists, this position may not be suitable for Clinical Fellows.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or pending California SLP licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience providing services in school settings, especially with K-8 students
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to addressing the needs of a diverse caseload
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing roles and locations as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students in a K-8 environment
- Assess and document student progress, develop IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to provide comprehensive student support
- Manage a flexible schedule to address various FMLA coverage needs within the district
- Complete up to 5 hours of responsibilities off-site each week, as appropriate
