Key Qualifications:
- Active Georgia SLP License or Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Certification required (both will be needed eventually, but either one is acceptable to start)
- Open to Speech-Language Assistants (SLAs) certified through GaPSC
- SLP-CCC/CF credentials welcome
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills essential
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners in elementary grades
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and write evaluation reports
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and educational teams to ensure student progress
- Provide direct therapy services onsite (not remote or hybrid)
- Maintain accurate records, document interventions, and track student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Foster a positive and inclusive school atmosphere
