Make a meaningful difference as a Speech Language Pathologist serving students across multiple school settings in the Fort Myers area. Full-time and part-time contract opportunities are available for the upcoming academic year, with the flexibility to tailor assignments across several schools to reach a full-time equivalent schedule if preferred.
You’ll work with a diverse group of students, helping them develop essential speech and language skills to thrive both in and out of the classroom. The range of campuses includes elementary, middle, and high schools, allowing for a varied and impactful caseload. Your expertise will be valued as you collaborate with educators and families to foster supportive environments for student growth.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or active FL DOH SLP license
- Experience working within a school setting is highly valued
- Ability to complete time-sensitive fingerprinting and credentialing processes, including transfer or verification of previous prints via the AHCA Clearinghouse or JLA badge as needed
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide targeted therapy sessions to students with diverse speech and language needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely progress reporting
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed
