Speech Language Pathologist in Lehigh Acres, FL
Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support student growth across multiple campuses in the vibrant Fort Myers area. This contract position offers the opportunity to work on-site within a range of elementary, middle, and high schools, with flexible scheduling for both full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) and part-time options. Multiple locations ensure variety and allow for assignments to be tailored to fit your desired workload, with caseload details determined by campus needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid Florida teacher certification and/or an active FL Department of Health SLP license
- Experience providing speech and language services within educational settings preferred
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Must complete required fingerprinting; candidates previously fingerprinted in Florida may expedite this process by verifying prior clearance
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide individualized speech and language therapy to students across assigned schools
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to collaborative student support planning
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with state/district guidelines
- Serve as a resource to school staff and families, offering strategies and interventions to foster student achievement
- Travel between campuses as assigned, with flexibility for role assignment based on district needs
