Take the next step in your Speech Language Pathology career supporting students and making an impact in the classroom! A large school district near North Fort Myers, FL is seeking experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for on-site contract roles starting in August 2026. Multiple full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexible assignments across several school locations. You’ll have the option to combine locations for a full-time schedule, providing vital speech and language services to students from elementary through high school.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or active FL Department of Health SLP license
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary fingerprint clearance; prior prints may expedite the process via the AHCA Clearinghouse
- Flexibility to serve caseloads that may vary by school site
- Start date: August 11, 2026; End date: May 27, 2027
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication assessments and therapy to students (ages and caseloads vary by location)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state requirements
- Provide services at one or more school sites as assigned
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as a school-based clinician
