School Speech Language Pathologist - Fort Myers, Florida
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Enjoy a dynamic role based on-site at multiple campuses throughout the Fort Myers area, with both full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) and part-time schedules available. Placements offer a flexible mix of locations that can be combined to create a full-time position. This is a contract role starting August 11, 2026, and continuing through May 27, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP license and/or valid Florida teacher certification
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Understanding of diverse caseload management for PreK-12 students
- Ability to work exclusively on-site (no virtual positions available)
- Fingerprinting for credentialing (AHCA Clearinghouse verification and JLA badge process required)
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve student goals
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide ongoing progress updates
- Serve as a resource for staff on communication strategies and interventions
