SLP in Lehigh Acres, FL
Discover an exciting opportunity to support students’ communication development as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school setting. This contract position, beginning August 11, 2026, and running through May 27, 2027, offers placements across multiple schools in the Fort Myers, FL area. Both experienced SLPs (CCC) and recent graduates (CF) are encouraged to apply. Full-time schedules of up to 37.5 hours per week are available, with the possibility of part-time arrangement.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Florida Department of Health SLP license and/or Florida teacher certification
- Eligibility to work on-site (this assignment is not open to remote or virtual/VOCO placements)
- Willingness to complete Florida fingerprinting requirements (prior completion may be transferable via AHCA Clearinghouse/JLA badge system)
- Passion for working with diverse student populations across elementary, middle, or high school levels
- Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
- Previous school-based experience is valued but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students in assigned schools (caseloads and age groups will vary)
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and deliver treatment in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families for best student outcomes
- Maintain timely and accurate records for assessments, progress monitoring, and Medicaid billing (as needed)
- Participate in school meetings and multidisciplinary teams
