Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an accredited university (official transcripts required prior to district presentation)
- Active State of Michigan SLP license; Clinical Fellows (CFYs) must also possess a temporary license and preferably have an established supervisor
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong clinical fellows are considered
- Experience supporting diverse or urban student populations is strongly valued; candidates may be asked about relevant resources and approaches for these communities
- Prior work in school settings is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Serve onsite (preferred) across K-12 students, tailoring intervention plans and therapy sessions to a variety of ages and needs
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and other support professionals
- Document progress and prepare timely reports in compliance with school and district requirements
- For innovative and experienced candidates, virtual/VOCO settings may be considered
