Qualifications & Experience
- Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Michigan (CFYs must hold a temporary license).
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFYs considered, especially those with an established supervisor.
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus.
- A genuine interest in urban education and awareness of the unique challenges faced by students; be ready to discuss effective resources to support children and their families.
- Copy of official university transcripts is required prior to consideration.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 caseload.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to maximize student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive plans for each student.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school and district guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, goal setting, and ongoing professional development.
This onsite position is full-time, at 35 hours per week, with contract dates running as soon as possible through June 11, 2027. Experienced teletherapy (VOCO) applicants will also be considered for select openings, though in-person availability is highly valued.
