Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Michigan Speech Language Pathology license; CFYs must have a temporary MI license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows welcome with established supervision.
- Previous experience in school settings serving K-12 is highly regarded.
- Official university transcripts (must be submitted before presentation to the district).
- Strong communication, individual and group therapy skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Thoughtful understanding of urban education environments and culturally responsive interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students in K-12, including assessments, IEP development, and progress reporting.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support students’ learning and communication needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute insights for holistic student support.
- Offer guidance and resources for students and their families, particularly addressing challenges in urban education.
