Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university (official transcripts required at submission)
- Active Michigan SLP license (or valid temporary license for CFYs)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLPs; strong CFYs considered—especially with established supervision
- Experience in K-12 settings highly valued
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations, staff, and families
- Demonstrates adaptability and creative problem-solving, with a commitment to student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary school teams and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide support and resources relevant to the unique needs of urban students and their families
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
