This contract position focuses on providing speech-language therapy services to a diverse PK-12th grade population with a caseload of around 60 students requiring mild to moderate intervention. You will join a dedicated team for the 2023/2024 academic year, working full-time onsite across three schools—all conveniently located within three miles of each other near Lanett, AL.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Speech and Communicative Disorders
- Eligible for, or holder of, Alabama SLP license and SLP Teaching Certificate
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants welcome
- School experience appreciated but not essential
- Willingness to obtain Alabama credentials if licensed out-of-state
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in PK-12th grade
- Address a wide spectrum of therapy needs for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Manage a caseload of 60 students, including coordinating services and maintaining accurate records
- Rotate across three school sites less than three miles apart
- Collaborate with educators, families, and staff for comprehensive student support
- Provide both individual and group therapy
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, monitor progress, and participate in team meetings
