A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification is needed for a school-based contract position in Brewton, AL. This role services students from kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple school sites, providing essential speech and language support to enhance students’ communication skills and overall academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to student needs
- Monitor and document student progress regularly
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with school staff and parents
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations concerning speech therapy services
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings with students from diverse backgrounds
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Details:
- Location: Brewton, Alabama
- Contract duration: August 6, 2024 – May 22, 2025 (school year)
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (may vary by 30 minutes depending on the assigned school site)
- Work hours: 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and an additional 30-minute unpaid break
