You will provide direct therapy and evaluations at various elementary and magnet schools, ensuring a manageable caseload of no more than 60 students. Engage with passionate staff and students, delivering life-changing support while gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Alabama ASHA Certification
- Alabama Educator SLP Certification (can start with certification pending)
- Experience in school-based SLP roles (ASHA CCC required; SLPAs not eligible)
- Ability to work onsite and manage therapy and evaluation caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students following IEP goals
- Perform thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teaching staff, administration, and families across multiple school sites
- Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Uphold best practices and ethical standards in therapy delivery
