Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- A collaborative approach to working with students, educators, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using current tools and practices
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with student needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy, intervention, and support to students with a variety of communication disorders
- Track progress, document sessions, and prepare reports as required by the district
- Consult with teachers to integrate SLP strategies into the classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families to offer guidance and resources for student success
- Remain current on best practices and industry standards for school-based SLPs
