School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Lancaster, California
As a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist, your expertise will make a significant impact supporting K-8 students in a vibrant district near Lancaster, CA. This full-time contract position offers a unique opportunity to cover multiple FMLA openings throughout the academic year, allowing you to work in various settings with a diverse student population. While proficiency and adaptability are crucial, this role is best suited for experienced SLPs (holding CCCs), as the assignment's nature may not be ideal for clinical fellows.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of SLP experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of diagnostics, therapy planning, and delivery for K-8 students
- Familiarity with IEP procedures, documentation, and progress reporting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and caseloads
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students in multiple schools covering various FMLA leaves
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations, develop IEP goals, and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to support student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance with district and state requirements
- 40-hour work week with up to 5 hours available for remote/off-site work
In return for your experience and dedication, this role offers a highly competitive hourly rate based on your background and expertise ($65 - $82/hr).
