School Speech Language Pathologist - Knoxville, TN
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In this role, you’ll work closely with school-aged children to assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based therapy services designed to help them overcome communication challenges and reach their fullest potential. Your expertise will play a vital part in each student’s educational and social growth, working collaboratively with teachers, families, and other support professionals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid or pending state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide targeted interventions
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow specialists to optimize care for each student
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences
- Foster productive, engaging learning environments for students
- Provide consultation and education to school staff and parents as needed
