School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Katy, Texas
Take your skills as a Speech-Language Pathologist to the next level with this engaging contract opportunity supporting middle or high school students in a dynamic Houston-area school community. This full-time, on-site assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, where you'll work closely with students from grades 6-8 or 10-12, based on your preference, ensuring each learner receives the communication support they need to thrive.
Bring your expertise to a well-structured caseload of 50-60 students, collaborating with educational professionals and families to provide high-quality therapy, conduct ARD meetings, and manage comprehensive testing. The assignment is considerate of your home ZIP code when placing you in a school, offering convenience for your daily commute.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in the state of Texas (please be prepared to present an image of your license)
- Experience in school-based settings, preferably with middle and/or high school students
- Familiarity with ARD processes and special education documentation
- Ability to perform full scope of SLP responsibilities, including therapy, evaluations, and collaboration
- Completion of district-required fingerprinting (or indication of current prints in system)
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions for 6th-8th or 10th-12th grade students
- Participate in ARD meetings and provide input for IEP goals
- Administer standardized assessments and prepare required documentation
- Collaborate effectively with staff and families to develop and implement intervention plans
- Maintain compliance with district and state regulations
