Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Jacksonville, FL
Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC) to make a significant impact in school settings near Jacksonville, FL for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role spans from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, providing a chance to support students from Pre-K through 12th grade with mild to moderate needs across multiple school sites. You’ll play a crucial itinerant role with an estimated caseload of 60 students (caseloads and exact locations are to be confirmed).
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Possession of a current Florida Department of Health SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience supporting children or adolescents, preferably in PreK-12 school environments
- Ability to adapt to an itinerant schedule serving multiple sites
- Willingness and capability to work on-site exclusively
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Provide direct therapy and monitor progress, adjusting plans as needed
- Complete documentation and reports in accordance with district standards
Credentialing & Onboarding: Candidates must complete or verify fingerprinting according to Florida standards. If prior fingerprints exist and are accessible through the AHCA Clearinghouse, a verification form will be required. If cleared, obtainment of a JLA badge is necessary and may take up to 10 business days.
This role offers a consistent weekly schedule of 35 hours, allowing you to immerse in a rewarding school-based setting while advancing your professional experience.
