School Speech Language Pathologist - Jacksonville, Florida
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with autism ranging from elementary age through 22 years old. This in-person role places you at the heart of special education, delivering speech-language therapy services across two established sites. This contract position is designed for 30 hours per week while a permanent, full-time professional is recruited. Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure/certification for practice in schools
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Experience working with students with autism and/or special education needs is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and progress reports
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person speech-language therapy for students ages elementary through 22 at two sites
- Conduct assessments and provide direct and consultative services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
