Work one-on-one with children ages 2 to 18, focusing primarily on those with mild to moderate needs, including high-functioning autism. There’s no group therapy or responsibility for medically fragile patients—meaning you’ll be able to devote targeted attention to each child’s development.
Desired background and skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure and active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in pediatric settings, with a strong understanding of school-based speech services
- Expertise in assessing, planning, and delivering therapy for receptive/expressive language, pragmatics, literacy (reading/writing) delays, articulation, and autism spectrum needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for working with children, families, and a collaborative clinical team
Core responsibilities:
- Complete assessments and evaluations to tailor individualized therapy
- Deliver direct, one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on specific goals for each child
- Address a wide array of speech and language concerns including pragmatic language, literacy delays, articulation, and social communication in children with high-functioning autism
- Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with education professionals and caregivers to support each student’s growth
