In this role, you'll work one-on-one with children ages 2 to 18, supporting those with primarily mild to moderate speech and language needs. Most clients live with high-functioning autism, and your expertise will help each child make vital strides in areas such as pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, articulation, reading, and writing delays. Enjoy the ability to genuinely connect with your patients—every session focuses on individualized care, never groups, and no strictly medically fragile caseload.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Active license or eligibility as an SLP in Florida
- CCC-SLP credentials or Clinical Fellow applicants with a focus in pediatrics
- Background in school or pediatric outpatient settings
- Proficiency in working on receptive/expressive language, pragmatics, articulation, reading, writing delays, and autism spectrum disorders
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and treatment-planning skills
- Commitment to participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
