Pediatric Speech Pathology - Washington, DC
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed to provide specialized pediatric speech therapy services in a dynamic school setting in Washington, DC. This contract-to-hire position offers a comprehensive schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM at a single campus, allowing for consistent interaction with students and staff. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in pediatric and school-based speech therapy, demonstrating a commitment to supporting student communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in pediatric students within the school environment.
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to meet each student’s unique communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel to foster a supportive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and students.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
