Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Irvine, CA
Embark on a rewarding speech-language pathologist assignment supporting students in the San Juan Capistrano area. Three full-time contract opportunities are available for skilled SLPs to provide essential services across preschool, elementary, and middle school settings. Engage directly on-site to make a measurable difference in students’ lives while collaborating alongside supportive school teams.
You’ll work within assigned schools (one site per SLP), with an average caseload of 55 students providing evaluation, intervention, and support. Each role covers a scheduled leave of absence with the strong potential for extension through the full school year, based on ongoing district needs.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and active California SLP license
- Experience delivering services in school settings, ideally at multiple age levels
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering student growth and participation
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform speech, language, and communication assessments in accordance with IEP and district requirements
- Develop and execute therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Document services, progress, and outcomes efficiently and accurately
- Collaborate with teachers, classroom staff, and families to support student access and success
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute insights for student programming
- Maintain compliance with district and state procedural guidelines
