School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Irvine, California
Make a meaningful difference in the San Juan Capistrano area by providing essential speech-language services to students of all ages. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced, licensed Speech-Language Pathologists seeking to work onsite across three school settings: preschool, middle school, and elementary school. With a high likelihood of extending through the end of the academic year due to ongoing or additional leaves, this position offers an excellent chance to positively impact a diverse student population and enjoy stability throughout the school year.
In this role, you will join a collaborative team, working full-time, five days per week. Each SLP can expect to support an average caseload of 55 students during leave of absence assignments—addressing communication and language challenges for children and adolescents who rely on your expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid California SLP license
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a K-8 caseload
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students from preschool to middle school
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in line with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy and track student progress
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain up-to-date documentation per district and state guidelines
This is an onsite, school-based contract position with roles available beginning immediately, around mid-September, and mid-October—each of which may extend through the end of the academic year, offering continuity for both students and professionals.
