Ideal candidates possess experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy settings and are ready to take on a collaborative, hands-on approach. Both seasoned SLPs and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants are invited to apply, as well as those with SLPA experience interested in school-based therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (or equivalent)
- State licensure (or eligibility) for SLP in West Virginia
- Experience working with children in educational or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with school-based service delivery models and IEP processes
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work full-time on site for the full school year
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders for students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and deliver IEPs
- Maintain all required documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, student observation, and multidisciplinary planning sessions
- Serve as a resource and advocate for student communication needs
