Desired skills and experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or open to Clinical Fellows (CFs)
- Valid California licensure and COC (Certificate of Clearance) required
- Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred, but monolingual applicants are welcome to apply
- Previous experience in school settings or with IEP management systems (SEIS) is preferred
- Familiarity with California Medicaid billing (Paradigm system) is a plus
- Willingness to work onsite for an entire school year, with itinerant flexibility possibly needed
- Comfort supporting students with mild to moderate as well as some severe needs, including the use of AAC devices
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students, mainly in PreK, but may include other ages based on caseload needs
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Engage families in the therapy process to maximize student outcomes
- Utilize AAC devices and technology as appropriate for students with communication needs
