Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Indio, California
Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students’ communication growth for the 2025-2026 school year! This contract role is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about working in educational settings and making a meaningful difference across multiple school sites in the Palm Desert area. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment alongside fellow dedicated SLPs, providing key speech-language services to students in grades and age groups soon to be determined prior to the start of the school year.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active California SLP license or eligibility for the CA CTC.
- Clinical Fellowship Year candidates and those with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are welcome.
- Strong foundation in IEP development, evaluations, direct and indirect therapy services.
- Experience or genuine interest in working with pediatric and school-aged populations.
- Solid communication, organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit.
- Flexibility and adaptability for multiple school assignments.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and indirect speech-language interventions according to student needs.
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language evaluations and create tailored IEPs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support personnel to promote students’ success.
- Maintain thorough documentation in line with district and state requirements.
- Manage a caseload spanning several school sites, offering varied experiences each week.
This is a full-time contract position (37.5 hours per week) running for the full 2025-2026 school year. The specific age and grade caseloads will be shared closer to the school year’s start, allowing for optimal placement and support. Please note: direct in-district supervision support (e.g., Para, RBT, CNA, LPN) will not be provided.
