You’ll work onsite across approximately two elementary school sites, serving an average caseload of 47 students. Enjoy a robust, full-time schedule—40 hours each week (8.5-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). There are two openings available for dedicated SLPs or SLPAs.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (for SLPs) or accredited program completion (for SLPAs)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred for SLPs
- Active Alaska state certification and licensure required
- Prior experience or strong interest in school-based speech and language therapy
- Ability to provide engaging, evidence-based interventions to school-aged children, primarily at the elementary level
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, students, and families
- Commitment to onsite work—remote or virtual services are not permitted
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a diverse student population
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and school staff on strategies that support student communication needs
- Engage families and guardians to foster student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school procedures
