Key Qualifications:
- Valid Alaska SLP or SLPA certification and licensure (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly desirable for SLP applicants
- Prior experience in school settings or working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple sites
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to onsite-only work throughout the assignment (no teletherapy available)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct therapy services to students—individually and in groups
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student’s progress
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports according to school and accreditation standards
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in multi-disciplinary team discussions
This position is full-time (40 hours per week), requiring an 8.5-hour workday with a half-hour unpaid lunch. You will be part of a supportive environment where your expertise helps kindle confidence and growth in young learners.
