Key Qualifications:
- Active Alaska SLP or SLPA certification and licensure required
- Credentials as SLP - CCC or SLPA, with previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads of approximately 47 students across two locations, primarily at the elementary level
- Commitment to onsite, in-person services (no teletherapy or VOCO assignments)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills
- Adaptability and a collaborative spirit to fit seamlessly into school environments
What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students, implementing IEP goals and individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and required reports
- Participate in school meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as needed
- Engage students with innovative, evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for optimal student success
This contract position is scheduled from August 14, 2026, through May 27, 2027, working full-time hours (8.5-hour days with a half-hour unpaid lunch).
