The assignment spans from August 14, 2026, to May 27, 2027, involving a standard schedule of 40 hours per week (8.5-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The caseload covers approximately two schools, with an average of 47 students—primarily at the elementary level. This position is entirely onsite, with no remote or virtual options.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Alaska SLP or SLPA license and certification required
- Completion of SLP-CCC (for SLPs)
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred
- Skilled in both assessment and intervention for school-aged children
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and fellow specialists
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and positive learning environments
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver targeted, evidence-based therapy to students

- Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation in compliance with school and state standards
