We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school team in Independence, Virginia. In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with students, educators, and families to improve communication skills that foster academic achievement, social development, and lifelong success.
Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify students' communication needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required compliance records.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and interventions.
Educate school staff and families on strategies to support communication development across learning environments.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply if eligible.
Previous school-based or pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
