Speech Language Pathologist in Independence, MO

Requirements and Skills:
- Current Missouri SLP or SLPA licensure required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) highly desirable
- Experience in elementary or school-based settings
- Confident managing a diverse caseload (Grades K, 1, 2, 3, 5, and specialized classrooms)
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers and school staff
- Ability to adapt therapy sessions for inclusivity and effective learning
- Commitment to positive student engagement and supporting individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of 37 direct therapy students and provide consults as needed
- Participate in a weekly in-class language group in the FIT classroom
- Support students across various grade levels and abilities, including cross-categorical settings
- Complete front car rider morning duty and assist with dismissal routines for students
- Maintain accurate records on student progress, therapy sessions, and consults
- Engage in ongoing communication with families and educational staff
You’ll work a full-time day (8:50 to 4:25) starting as soon as possible and continuing through December 4th, with the possibility of extension. Interviews will be conducted virtually for your convenience.
