Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Blue Springs, MO
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students’ communication growth in a vibrant educational setting near Blue Springs, MO. This full-time assignment, starting as soon as possible and extending through December 4—with potential for extension—offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a collaborative team.
You’ll provide services to a diverse caseload including 1st, 2nd, and 5th graders, students in cross-categorical rooms, and older students in the FIT program. The role also includes working with individual students from early childhood, kindergarten, and third grade, and facilitating a weekly in-class language group every Tuesday. In addition to therapy responsibilities, you’ll help foster a positive school culture through morning car rider duty and assisting with dismissal for second grade and kindergarten ball field walkers.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in Missouri
- School-based experience highly valued (experience with elementary populations preferred)
- Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and engage in consultative services as needed
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a defined caseload
- Perform consultative support for additional students as assigned
- Plan and implement language groups and individualized therapy
- Maintain required documentation and collaborate with faculty and families
- Participate in assigned school duties, including morning and dismissal assistance
