School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Kansas City, Missouri

This contract opportunity involves covering a leave at an elementary school, working with a dynamic and diverse student caseload that spans from kindergarten to fifth grade, including older students in a specialized program and a cross-categorical classroom. The assignment runs from ASAP through December 4, with the potential for extension.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Missouri SLP (CCC) or SLPA license
- Previous experience in a school-based setting
- Ability to manage varied caseloads (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th grades, plus cross-categorical and early childhood students)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to approximately 37 students, with 2-3 consults
- Plan and deliver one in-class language group each Tuesday in the FIT (Families in Transition) room
- Collaborate with special education and general education staff to support student progress
- Complete required documentation and progress updates
- Participate in school routines, including car rider morning duty and assisting with dismissal by picking up second grade and kinder ball field walkers
- Maintain flexible, full-time hours: 8:50am – 4:25pm, aligning with the school's schedule
