This full-time assignment runs from August 17th to September 4th, supporting a vibrant student community with your SLP expertise onsite. Working 9:00am to 4:40pm, Monday through Friday, you’ll have the chance to provide vital services alongside other dedicated professionals. Desired qualifications & experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in school settings, preferably working with elementary-aged students
- Strong background or interest in working with students on the autism spectrum
- Committed to onsite service delivery in a team environment
- Effective communicator, collaborative, and adaptive
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication challenges in students within the autism program
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to promote expressive and receptive language growth
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to provide holistic support
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in relevant meetings to ensure best outcomes for students
- Engage in problem-solving and advocacy to help students overcome barriers to communication
