Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland SLP License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience working in Maryland public school settings is highly desired
- Familiarity with providing school-based SLP services (PreK-5th grade)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable meeting monthly service hour goals (60 hours/month)
- Flexibility to work onsite preferred (virtual considered for exceptional candidates)
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students individually and in small groups
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes according to school policies
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
- Consult with teachers and staff to support carryover of communication goals into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a valuable resource for school personnel
- Stay current on evidence-based practices to enhance therapeutic outcomes
- Engage with parents or caregivers to provide updates and recommendations
