Step into an impactful, school-based speech-language pathology role supporting primary and elementary students onsite in the greater Humble area. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year (August to June), offering full-time hours across diverse campus settings. You’ll serve as a resource, mentor, and evaluator, focusing on high-level responsibilities that make a difference for students and emerging professionals alike.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), with active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Valid Texas SLP license (required)
- School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Skilled at supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Confident conducting speech-language evaluations and interpreting results
- Experienced facilitating and participating in ARD/IEP meetings
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor SLPAs at assigned campuses
- Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students as needed
- Lead and facilitate ARD meetings, supporting IEP team decisions and compliance
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to state, district, and professional guidelines
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote student success
- This position does not require provision of direct therapy services
