Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity designed for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists with CCC and school-based expertise. These onsite roles involve serving primary and elementary students across several campus locations with a weekly, full-time schedule. As an SLP in this setting, you’ll take an active leadership role—supervising one or more Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), conducting thorough speech-language evaluations, and facilitating ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings for students. Please note that therapy sessions are not included in this assignment.
Ideal candidates are collaborative, organized, and adept at managing evaluations and meetings in the school environment. There are three available assignments within the district, offering a rewarding environment and the chance to make a measurable impact on students’ educational journeys.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist License (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Demonstrated experience in an elementary or primary school setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory abilities
- Comfortable leading ARD meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience supervising SLPA(s) preferred
- Ability to complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise assigned SLPAs within the primary and elementary settings
- Conduct speech-language assessments for caseload management
- Lead and participate in ARD meetings, providing expert recommendations
- Collaborate with staff and families to facilitate clear communication and student-centered planning
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
