Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid State SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC); Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcomed.
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience desired, either on-site or via teletherapy.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies across diverse student populations and learning needs.
- Proficient with assessments, individualized education plan (IEP) documentation, and virtual therapy tools (for telepractice candidates).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in school-aged children.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with each student’s strengths and challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes and provide ongoing support.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school, district, and state regulations.
- Engage in IEP meetings, contribute to progress reporting, and foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Utilize effective teletherapy platforms when appropriate to deliver high-quality virtual services.
