Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP License required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Previous experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Knowledge of best practices for therapy documentation, IEPs, and integrating therapy into the classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in elementary or junior high grades
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student goals
- Adjust therapy approaches based on ongoing progress and classroom needs
- Offer education and resources to classroom staff and families regarding communication development and strategies
