The assignment spans the entire school year, beginning in early August and concluding the following June.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLP license in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Previous involvement with supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge in conducting and completing speech-language evaluations
- Skilled at facilitating Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants as needed
- Carry out comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students
- Lead and participate in ARD meetings to develop and implement student plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families
- Ensure documentation and reports comply with all district and regulatory requirements
- Work onsite in one or more K-5 campuses within the district (no direct therapy required)
